After a long struggle with depression brought on by many trials and sufferings, Thierry Bannon went to the Lord. He left behind his son Matthew and daughters Lindsay and Jessica, his wife Leslie and many family members and friends.
Thierry will always be remembered as a kind, gentle, and caring person, one who had a special gift of being able to see what's in a person's heart, not judging superficially, to see the good in people, and to share his feelings with others and have them look deeper into their own. Thierry drew very close to God in the last year and gained a special understanding of how much God loved him and he strived to see all others through the eyes of Jesus.
Through all his trials, Theirry was always there to help others, lend a helping hand, share stories and joke around -- Thierry's unique humour was always present and he could bring out a smile and a laugh in any person he encountered. He was a very special friend. His departure has left an emptiness in many people. Thierry had many friends and it is hard to contemplate what effect his loss will have on the lives of those he left behind. We in Thunder Bay, his friends in Victoria and his family and friends on the Fort William First Nation Reserve will all be poorer without him.
